Chicago Radio: WLIT Imports Cubby Bryant for Mornings

Paul "Cubby" Bryant, who hosts mornings on Clear Channel's WKTU-FM in New York and also is heard on WMIA-FM in Miami, has added WLIT 93.9 MyFM to his syndication lineup.

According to media writer Robert Feder, when Clear Channel unveiled the rebranding of Lite FM and revamping of its adult contemporary format on June 17, the station said: "93.9 MY FM will announce a stellar programming line-up with local on-air personalities at the end of June."

However, the only local personality hired by the station has been Brooke Hunter, who hosts middays. Afternoons remain vacant and evenings are voice-tracked from Los Angelesby the Mario Lopez.

Chicagoradio veterans Eddie Volkman and Joe "Jobo" Colborn were rumored to be headed for mornings on 93.9 MyFM. Feder writes on July 10, Volkman posted a photo on his Facebook page of the duo taken at Clear Channel studios. "Today's meeting could NOT have gone better!" he wrote. "Watch out, Chicago! Damn, I'm stoked."
